Hello SFU! Are you ready to get ethical? ethical.gif

Hope you’ve had a great semester so far! The Health Ethics Club is having its first official meeting on Friday from 3:30-5:30 on Friday, October 20th in BLUSSON 10401. We’ll have some snacks and some discussion on what the semester will look like. Hope to see you there!

Event: Natural Disaster & Emergency Medicine Ethics

Hey Everyone!

The Health Ethics Club is hosting an event on natural disaster and emergency medicine health ethics! We’ll be presenting a speaker who is part of the BC Emergency Health Services and the Urban Search and Rescue Team.

The event will be held on April 6th from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. in BLU 10401.

This is a really exciting opportunity to hear not only about the ethical dilemmas of natural disasters and emergency medicine, but also about how these ethical dilemmas are relevant in a Vancouver context. The presentation will be led by a representative of the BC Emergency Health Services and the Urban Search and Rescue Team and will be followed by an open-discussion and question period. For a refresher on these issues, check out the slides from our first event, Current Ethical Issues in Canadian Healthcare.

As usual, snacks will be provided and you do not need to be a member of the Health Ethics Club to attend!

Hope to see you all there!

We’re looking for people who are passionate about Health Ethics and who want to be directly involved in the planning, organising, and creating of our events each semester. Additionally, we are looking for applicants who are good collaborators, genuine and have a general interest in various health ethics issues in Canada.
